PM Lee, Indonesian minister discuss bilateral cooperation, building up strong ties

SINGAPORE – Primary Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto discussed ties between the two countries when they achieved on Tuesday (May possibly 31).

On Tuesday, Mr Airlangga also represented Indonesia as G-20 president at the second World wide Governance Group (3G) Dialogue with the G-20 Troika. The Troika is manufactured up of the state that retains the G-20 presidency, its predecessor and successor.

The dialogue, held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was chaired by International Minister Vivian Balakrishnan and attended by 22 ambassadors and associates of 3G member countries. The 3G is an informal grouping of 30 tiny and medium-sized members of the United Nations.

Singapore is not a G-20 member, but it has been invited to participate in many previous G-20 summits and associated meetings as the convener of the 3G.

In a Fb article on Tuesday, Dr Balakrishnan reported he thanked Indonesia for its active outreach to non G-20 members these kinds of as the 3G, incorporating that he hosted Mr Airlangga to lunch.
