Details: In addition to their takeout location and their nationwide shipping through online food marketplace Goldbelly, Bite Into Maine’s two food trucks provide lobster rolls and seafood, rain or shine. Menu items include the staple Maine lobster roll with mayo and chives along with more creative spins such as the wasabi roll and the curry roll. And for those less keen on lobster, there are a number of sandwich options, from the quarter-pound burger to the vegetarian Caprese sandwich.

CINNAMON GIRL

DISCO JALISCO

Details: The daughter of Portland’s Tomaso’s Canteen, the taco food truck serves loaded tacos on fresh tortillas with fillings like braised pork, fried coconut haddock, roasted shiitakes and mole pollo. The truck also serves “otros” like street corn and beans with chorizo and queso fresco.

IL LEONE

Details: More like a pizza oven on wheels than a food truck, Il Leone is a short ferry ride from Portland and serves wood-fired pizza with naturally leavened dough and organic and local Maine ingredients. Menu items also include antipastos and insalatas featuring elements such as wood-fired heirloom squash and imported prosciutto di Parma, as well as gelato from Gelato Fiasco for dessert.

IRONCLAD EATS
