Warm One-Pot Ramen Soup

What you need:

  • 1/2 cup buckwheat soba noodles (or your choice of ramen noodles)
  • 4 pcs. Dried shiitake mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup dehydrated ground beef
  • 1/2 cup freeze-dried vegetable of your choice
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt to taste

Prepare all ingredients at home beforehand to make transportation and cooking at the campsite easier. At home, combine the soy sauce, Sriracha and the sesame oil in a small container with a cover. Place the noodles, mushrooms, meat and vegetables in separate ziplocs.

When you’re ready to cook at the campsite, fill a pot with 2 cups of water. Add the noodles, mushrooms and vegetables to the pot and bring to a boil. Cook until noodles are tender, about 5 mins. Stir in the ground beef and the sauce and remove from heat.

Allow to cool for a couple of minutes before consuming.
